Terms of service · Effective July 27, 2026

The terms, in plain language.

These terms govern your use of Synapse, an AI support platform operated by LBP (lbp.dev). By creating a workspace or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The service

Synapse provides AI assistants that answer customer conversations across channels such as web chat, WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS, and phone, trained on knowledge you provide, with escalation to your team. Features may evolve over time.

2. Accounts

You sign in with your Google account. Workspace owners are responsible for the activity of their team members, for the integrations they connect, and for keeping access tokens and credentials secure.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the documents, knowledge content, and conversations you bring to Synapse. You grant LBP a license to process that content solely to operate and improve the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. You represent that you have the rights to any content you upload or connect.

4. AI-generated responses

Synapse's assistants generate responses from your knowledge and connected data. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for what is ultimately sent to your customers — whether sent automatically or after team review — and for configuring escalation behavior appropriately for your business.

5. Acceptable use

You will not use Synapse for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful; to send spam; to infringe others' rights; or to abuse the channels you connect through. When you connect third-party platforms, you also agree to their terms — including the Google API Services User Data Policy, and the applicable policies of Meta, Twilio, and Telegram.

6. Third-party services

Synapse depends on providers such as Google, model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or your own Ollama deployment), Twilio, and Meta. Their availability and terms govern their parts of the service; LBP is not responsible for third-party outages or policy changes.

7. Fees

If your workspace is on a paid plan, fees are as agreed with LBP. Usage-based costs — tokens, model spend, and per-call voice costs — are tracked on your dashboard.

8. Availability and warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Synapse is an evolving product and does not come with an uptime guarantee.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LBP is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost data, or missed customer messages. LBP's aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100 if you paid none.

10. Termination

You can stop using Synapse and disconnect your integrations at any time. LBP may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or abuse of the service. After termination, your data is handled as described in the privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

Updates are posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes are announced to workspace owners by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
